What BADC staff do

The mission of the BADC is to "to assist UK atmospheric researchers to locate, access and interpret atmospheric data and to ensure the long-term integrity of atmospheric data produced by NERC projects".
Some of the tasks needed to fulfil this mission are:

Answering queries form users.
Providing support for NERC programmes.
Facilitating access to other data suppliers.
Implementing computer technologies to store and distribute large volumes of data.
Writing web pages and CGI programmes.

BADC staff are required to work in a small team and communicate with a large user community. They also need to provide solution to user problems in a reasonable time frame.
