Job Opportunities at the BADC

Below is a general description of what BADC staff do and the skills needed.

What BADC staff do

The mission of the BADC is to "to assist UK atmospheric researchers to locate, access and interpret atmospheric data and to ensure the long-term integrity of atmospheric data produced by NERC projects".
Some of the tasks needed to fulfil this mission are:

Skills used at the BADC

The BADC uses a wide variety of hardware and software in its day to day running. The list below gives an idea of technical skills needed.

Qualifications or research experience in any of the disciplines below is very desirable. Knowledge of how NERC funds these areas is also useful.

BADC staff are required to work in a small team and communicate with a large user community. They also need to provide solution to user problems in a reasonable time frame.
