This picture shows the RS80 radiosonde. The UK Met. Office has used this sonde operationally since 1981.
The RS80 offers economical observations in combination with
a high performance and an accuracy well-proven in international
comparisons.
Being small, lightweight and easy to use, the RS80 radiosonde
can be easily launched by one operator which minimises sounding
costs.
