BADC MCIP Unified Model Service

Introduction

Welcome to the UM MCIP initialisation file Service at the British Atmospheric Data Centre. The service provides a user friendly interface for extracting the required fields from the UM archive for running the mesoscale air pollution model CMAQ - M3MCIP. The service uses UM data sets that have restricted access therefore you will have to apply for access to the UM Data Service before using it.

In order to use the service follow the link below. Select the desired time period and domain and submit the request. Due to the volume of data being processed the request will take some time to process probably of the order of 10s of minutes. On completion you will receive an email containing a link to the output data.

Please note that these data can currently be retrieved from your /requests area via FTP only.
