BADC LogoBADC Trajectory Service - Winds

The BADC trajectory model derives the parcel paths from a set of analysed winds. These winds are held online at the BADC. The winds available to you depend on the data sets you have access to at the BADC. The table lists the available wind types currently supported by the trajectory service. More details on the data can be found on the data set web pages.

The default wind source the BADC trajectory model uses is ECMWF archive..

Generally data on model levels will give more representative trajectories than data that has been interpolated onto pressure levels.
