Welcome to the British Atmospheric Data Centre trajectory service. The service provides a user friendly interface to an atmospheric trajectory model. The trajectory service uses data sets that have restricted access. This means you will have to apply for access to the Trajectory Service before using it.
The trajectory service has two stages. The first involves determining the initial conditions for the trajectory run. The second is the display or downloading of the trajectory results. You will need to have submitted a trajectory before you can view the results. Depending on the number of trajectories being run you will have to wait a few minutes after submitting a trajectory run before you can look at the results. You will be mailed when the trajectory run has completed and told where the results are.
* IMPORTANT NOTE: The Trajectory Service is not currently set up to handle GRIB2 formatted data and thus the trajectories using the 1.125 data, which is model level data, fails for runs which have trajectories using data for 18th May 2011 onwards.
