ECMWF Seasonal Simulation CD-ROM

The BADC has just been given a set of 4 CD-ROMs containing ensemble forecasts data. The "ECMWF Seasonal Simulation
CD-ROM" set contains selected 10-day mean output fields from the ECMWF ensemble simulations for the four seasons of
the years 1979-1993, which coincides with the ECMWF re-analysis  period, together with verification data taken from
the reanalysis.

The fields included in the set are
        Geo. Height at 700, 500 and 200 hPa
        Temperature at 850, 500 and 200 hPa
        Winds (u,v) at 850 and 200 hPa
        Vertical velocity on 500 hPa
        Soil Moisture (7cm depth)
        Snow depth
        Precipitation
        Surface Sensible heat flux
        Surface latent heat flux
        Mean sea level pressure
        Total cloud cover
        Surface solar and thermal radiation
        top thermal radiation
        Surface windstress components
        Minimum and Maximum temperature at 2m
        Surface temperature
        Land-sea mask
