BADC Data Extractor
In order to use the Data Extractor it is necessary for you to be registered with the BADC and to have been granted access to the dataset from which you want to extract data.
What can the Data Extractor be used for?
The Data Extractor can currently be used by authorised users to extract specific data from the following datasets:
The Data Extractor currently builds upon the PCMDI Climate Data Analysis Tools (CDAT) package.
How to use the extractor for ECMWF ERA-40 Re-analyses or ECMWF Operational Products
The Data Extractor exposes the following functionality to BADC users:
- Extraction of NetCDF datasets.
- Differencing between datasets.
- Browsing and selection of subsets.
- Selection in space and time.
The resulting data is then seamlessly available via the GeoSpatial Plotting and Animation Tool (GeoSPlAT) which allows:
- User-defined plotting.
- User-defined animation
